Hiroko has been teaching piano privately to children and adults for over 20 years. With 4 years’ experience as a musician in residence for schools, she is used to young children and gets on very well with students of any age and ability. She has taught hundreds of students to achieve top prizes at music festivals, Merits and Distinctions for ABRSM examinations from grades 1 to 8, all levels of music theory, and also many post-grade 8 performance diploma musicians and fellow performers.
Her background in education and performance means she knows exactly the sort of problems and challenges that need to be overcome, and she firmly believes that she can help anyone reach their desired level of piano playing ability.
